Senior Needs Study
A Community Needs Update was completed in September 2010. Areas identified for priority focus included Education, Income and Health issues. United Way noted an increasing senior population and that this population will experience greater financial and access needs into the future. Seniors on fixed incomes, minimum health care coverage and limited access options are particularly vulnerable.
The 2011 Senior Needs Project will survey at-risk seniors to determine specific issues regarding, living on fixed incomes and ability to access service care. Our thanks to Bill Crawford of SAAA, Alice Irvan consultant and to Nick Tavenner, UW Volunteer, for compiling and processing the survey.
