United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley Opens Impact Grant LOI Process

Winchester, VA – January 16, 2025 – United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) is excited to announce the opening of the 2025 Impact Grant Letter of Intent (LOI) process. This is a critical first step for nonprofit organizations seeking funding to support innovative programs that address pressing community needs.

The Impact Grant program is designed to align with UWNSV’s mission of improving health, education, and financial stability in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Funding priorities for this year focus on:

  • Health: Access to care, behavioral health, and trauma-informed systems.
  • Education: Early learning, youth support, and access to basic needs.
  • Income/Financial Stability: Housing solutions, employment opportunities, and financial empowerment.

  • LOI Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025
  • Success Report Narrative (for Returning Grantees):
  • Must be emailed to Kimberley Wilt (kwilt@unitedwaynsv.org) by February 14, 2025. Please contact Kimberley if you need to discuss this report. See Sample.
  • Notifications Sent: By February 18, 2025
  • Grant Training (Online): Starting February 18, 2025
  • Full Grant Applications Due: March 14, 2025
  • Site Visits and Presentations: March 24–April 11, 2025
  • Award Notifications: On or before May 1, 2025

Selected organizations will advance to the full application process, which includes individual meetings, online grant training, and site visits. The anticipated award announcements will take place in late April to early May 2025.
